Starfire Horse Rescue is a very small run project as part of the family run Chanting Willows Animal Sanctuary where we rescue horses on a small scale, suiting the 21 acres of land we acquired as our home outside of Ringford, Castle Douglas, in Dumfries and Galloway. Living in an area which provides natural shelter and forage and a beautiful 7 acre woodland allows the importance of our work in helping horses to return to a more natural way of living, helping them to find their authenticity and empowerment. Dana's focus and work, devotion and path in holistic animal healing and equine herbalism, energy work, including soud therapy and crystal therapy, soul connections and intuitive communiction,is the heart of Starfire Horse Rescue, completely built upon freedom of choice, and deep profound healing. Alongside this, horses are empowered through Liberty play and positive reinforcement. Dana is not a horse trainer nor does she practicee any form of horsemnship.it is founded upon patience, trust and healing.

Also available to work with other horse charities who may need assistance in a different kind of healing for the horses in their care, whether this is relocating the horse here, Dana visiting and offering her services or offering distant services. Also, Starfire Horse Rescue may be able to taake on a horse where the owner is struggling with certian circumstancesin their lie, whether financially or physical health, or if they are seeking holisitc healing and just have not the funds. Starfire Horse Rescue can proovide a safe place and healing, before returning the owner. We understand how difficult circumstnces can come out of the blue, and how life can be very challenging. At the moment, we decided to not register as a charity as of yet until we find our footing,so it is very much a way of life, of devotion and love. You can help support financially by visiting Chanting Willows Animal Sanctuary where art is for sale nd services are available, all of which go towards the sanctuary and horse rescue. Please note, in teh future we plan on establishing as a registered charity.

For the Integrity of the Horse

We strive to rescue horses from awful, dead end fates, for those that have been neglected, abused or abandoned. From the foal to the aged. Also, we reach out to who are maybe struggling - there is no shame in asking for help. We do not judge, rather we wish to reach out and offer our help and to inspire others to see horses truly as sentient beings and to hold a guiding flame for the true healing of Equine. We will take in a horse no matter the beavioural issue that may be present understanding that instead healing and truly listening is what is needed, and the journey no matter how difficult wil take as long as needed. Horses who come to Starfire Horse Rescue will first be checked by our vet, vaccinted and wormed if necessary, before intercting with the other horses. We only take in two horses at a time to ensure the proper care, time, finances and atention is met for the ultimate care of the horses. Once we feel the horse is on it's way to harmony and integrated in to the herd, new rescues can arrive. There is a maximum of hoses we cn have at one time to ensure the best posible care and healthy grazing land.

Starfire Equine Connction

The horses rescued are truly devoted to a journey of complete well-being. Dana is an holistic anial healer who closely connects at a deep soul level with horses and is able to listen and intuitively communicat e with them. At Starfire Horse Rscue, we understand that each horse who enters is different, heals differently, have gone through various experiences and understanding that they each have their own life path and lessons. Dana believe s in fhorses to freely express themselves, incorporates liberty and her own Starfre Equine Connections in ensuring the empowerment and authenticity of each horse. HMany horses who enter have gone through traumatic experiences which requires time and patience and here we used Flower Essences nd herbs to asist in their journey to wholeness. This is not yet available. Horses that are rescued, will insead join the bonded herd of Chanting Willows. Only when the herd numbers support the land, wil we be rehoming horses.
