"Welcome all to my Willow Cottage where magick is woven through healing, art, writing, spell and craft. Where Faeries dwell in dance and joy for they know that all animals and plants are safe within my walls, garden and meadow paddocks. With Arwen, Kody, Storm, Pirate and Vixrn, my dog companions always by my side. And rabbits Sunna, Freya and Ragnar inspiring me and bringing peace and gentleness to all that I do as they hop and bounce in the rain and sun. Where Topaz my ginger cat familiar protects and guards home and land and curls up in his favourite seat while I ponder my next magicaal piece. And my little Faery horses, Mopsy, Gwennol and Thomthumb who graze and gallop in their fields - my best friends and teachers and muses. And in the land of the Fae, only an eyes blink away, dwells my special animal friends, Yukon, Bramble, Lapis, Lance, Floki, Fae, Merlin, Rio, Tal, Tez, Fawkes, Cei, Rainbow and Starfire (Tim), never far but always missed yet continually sharing their love, guidance and magic enriching my life beyond any measure. That is where Magick of Willow Cottage is rooted - in love, in companionship, in nature and the Fae."

Giving Back

W3Schools.com

It is extremely important for me to give back to Mother Earth and to give thanks for the energies including all Spirits of nature which help in my healing work. By living in harmony with Mother Earth and living a way of life which is free from animal testing and animal cruelty, always using eco products and reducing, reusing and recycling, I am being responsible for the health of every living being. However, I would like to give back more so alongside community projects, my own foundation and donating to charities, I would like to give my thanks and eternal gratitude and honour Mother Earth by doing all I can to assist in making a positive difference. It is extremely difficult for me to single out certain issues and charities. I wish for clean oceans. I wish for the world rid of any form of animal cruelty from Horse Racing to Animal testing. I wish for the end of the Illegal Trade of Wildlife and the Exotic Pet Trace. I wish for the end of whaling, shark fin hunting, zoos, circuses, bear bile farms and the list goes ever on! And my concerns go beyond animals but fellow humans who suffer. The world is a perilous place but only we, that is YOU, can make a difference if you act and act now. Make changes that will benefit the health of and heal Mother Earth such as using eco products, no longer use plastic botttles or bags and do not buy products which are tested on animals. Be mindful of what you eat and do not be a consumerist.

Yukon

Date of Birth: 1st of April 2002
Crossed Over to the Summerland November 2012
Gender: Female
Breed: Border Collie

Yukon came to me as a pup from a farm outside of West Kilbride in North Ayrshire, Scotland. She came in to my life at a time when my lupus was particularly bad and I was still trying to find how I fitted in to the world and how to deal with my sensitivity. Sadly, she was there for me rather than me being there for her. We were best of friends. She was my constant companion and went absolutely everywhere with me, from University, long train trips and running alongside me while I was cycling in the Cities I used to live in while studying. She truly was my Angel and my backbone giving me the confidence to go out in to the world. She had a few health issues including an enlarged heart. When i learned of this, I gave her continual healing and on her next check up, the vet was surprised that her heart was okay. She was a beautiful Border Collie, possibly too over bred for her mum was in fact both a working dog and also showed at Crufts. It has made me wonder as I still beat myself up today, thinking I could have done more so she would still be with me but either my life was too emotional fo rher especially since we were so close or maybe she just had poor health genes putting too much importance on working dog and show qualities. I Love you so much Yukon.

Topaz

Date of Birth: 10th of August 2007
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Ginger

I got precious Topaz as a tiny kitten from Kilwinning in North Ayrshire, Scotland and he loved to snuggle in to Yukon often sharing same beds. He did grow up thinking he was more like a dog and often goes for walks with me and my dogs. As a kitten he had an awful experience  and I nearly lost him. I returned home one day usually greeted by him but he did not come. I found him struggle to get up so  I rushed to Glasgow in a taxi to the emergency vet where he stayed there for a couple of days. He was fitting and had seizures on the way up in my lap. Of course, I was in tears. It turned out he bumped his head but he came home to me and recovered quickly. It is an experience I d not like to remember!

Kody

Date of Birth: 14th of August 2008
Gender: Male
Breed: Border Collie

Kody is a typical working stock Border Collie who came from a farm in West Kilbride, the village where I used to live in North Ayrshire. He was a bundle of fluff as a puppy and I think he got bullied by his siblings which affected his confidence. He became a part of he family as soon as I took him home becoming best friends with Yukon, Topaz and I. He is truly a special and gorgeous boy and was there for me when Yukon crossed over and took on little Arwen even though he too was going through such an awful time. He is so patience yet he just can;t help that highly strung hyperactive collie way.

Arwen

Date of Birth: September 2012
Gender: Female
Breed: BCollie X Labrador (Borodor)

Arwen arrived at Morgan's Dog Rescue in Cumbria having been found in Ireland. Her mum was abandoned with her litter and unfortunately she died. Many dogs are rescued from Ireland and brought over here. She was a complete blessing in my life having came in to the family hte day after Yukon crossed over. Of course, it was an utter shock as I had to focus on her though I wanted to grieve and go in to a dark hole. She helped me from falling deep in to the darkness. She has hte most beautiful of nature and never do I have to give her a command - she will always be there right next to me. She has a little white beard and four socks and a tail that causes havoc because she continually wags it,
